Google takes private plane ownership to new heights.

Fractional Focus In-Depth Report

So you’ve been fantasizing about all the benefits of owning all or a piece of a private jet. Me, too. But imagine how much sweeter it would be if you had access to your own private airport, as well. Well, the founders of Google have managed just that, with a little help from NASA.

The media, including the blog Valley Wag, have been reporting that Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page get to park their private jet, a Boeing 767-200, as well as two Gulfstream V’s used by other Google big-shots, at Moffett Field: a private airstrip operated by taxpayer-supported NASA. The field sits next to Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, CA

For this privilege, the Google guys are paying $1.3 million a year for the three parking spots, and allowing some researchers and scientific equipment to travel on their planes. How nice to be “Google rich,” eh? I suppose the next purchase of theirs may be their very own air traffic control system. I’m sure it would be smarter and much more modern than the antiquated system in use today.
