A great use for - and definition of - fractional jets
The coaching staff of the Oklahoma State University football team now has a fractional jet to rely on when it comes to recruiting visits around the country. It seems they couldn’t be happier.A team booster set the coaches up with a three-year contract via fractional jet provider Executive AirShare out of Kansas City. What a gift, right? Not surprisingly, the coaches wish they had even more time on the jet. As the Oklahoman newspaper reported athletic director Mike Holder saying,: “Once you start using it seems like there’s an unlimited need for it,” Holder said. “Convenience is a wonderful tool. The constraint is our budget. What can you afford to do? We’ll try it with football and see how it works.”
In the article, tight end coach Doug Meacham describes fractional jet flying this way: “You’re kind of like a bird. You get to land right on top of where you want to be instead of jumping through hoops flying commercial.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
