OurPLANE adds jets to its prop fleet.
London, Ontario-based OurPLANE just took delivery of its first Eclipse 500 Very Light Jet, which it will operate out of Jacksonville, FL. The fractional provider has a total of 18 Eclipse 500’s on order. The next two planes delivered will be stationed out of Los Angeles and Toronto.
OurPLANE currently has 15 Cirrus, Pilatus and Cessna planes its North American fleet. Fractional shares begin at $75,000 for the prop planes, while shares in the six-passenger Eclipse 500 begin at about $300,000. (The jet aircraft sells for about $1,500,000, and is widely regarded as a leader in the VLJ category.) It’s an impressive plane, and you can best get a sense of it on Eclipse’s website where you can play around with all the potential configurations. Granted, as a fractional owner you won’t have such a plethora of choices, but it’s an interesting web application that’s fun to play around with nonetheless.
