A marriage of private and commercial flight.
Private or commercial? Commercial or private? There are pros and cons to both. Is the price of private flight worth the convenience? Is the hassle of commercial flight worth the savings? Now it might be possible to answer “yes” to both questions on the same day, thanks to JetCombo.Technology and travel service experts George Khairallah and Michael Thomas began JetCombo.com with a “shared vision that opens air travel to all rural areas, providing the convenience of virtual door-to-door service.”
The logic behind JetCombo.com is to bypass (when possible) the overused hub-and-spoke system of U.S. airlines (about 30 airports) by redistributing traffic to smaller, less crowded regional airports (about 5,400 locations). This is accomplished via a database of available aircraft, and it ultimately combines private and first-class commercial service in a single itinerary. On the website, passengers need only to enter their departure and destination cities, and JetCombo.com presents the most efficient route. While this private/commercial “hybrid” still has its drawbacks, it does seem like a marriage made in Heaven. Or, at least, up in the sky somewhere.
