Avantair’s End-of-the-Year Bonus Countdown

I received an email today from Avantair announcing a special promotion. Avantair is running a year-end sale with bonuses for closing the deal more quickly. These bonuses are on top of the savings you’ll garner by purchasing by January 1st when prices for a 1/16th share will increase by $10,000.
And none of these savings or bonuses are currently listed or mentioned on their site.
Specifically, you can receive the following bonus flight hours by purchasing your Avantair share before the dates listed below:
October 31st: 3 bonus flight hours
November 30th: 2 bonus flight hours
December 15th: 1 bonus flight hour
And if you purchase your Avantair fractional jet share before January 1, 2008 and you’ll pay $415,000 for a 1/16th share. After January 1st, and you’ll pay $425,000. While that’s a price increase of less than 2.5%, it’s still $10,000, and that’s not chump change.
I found this offer pretty interesting. You rarely see the price-off approach when talking items in this price range. And while I’d always assumed that things were negotiable, this offer gives you a sense of what you might be able to negotiate if planning a fractional jet purchase of your own.
