Avantair Introduces New Edge 25 Hour Jet Card

Fractional Focus In-Depth Report

Avantair has joined the ranks of Fractional Jet Ownership and/or Jet Charter companies offering a Jet Card program. The program which features a 25 hour card good for 12 months comes at a cost of $120,000 ($129,000 including a Federal Excise Tax of $9,000).

While this is an all inclusive cost, I still expected something a bit more competitive than $5,000+/hour given how the Avantair Edge 25 Hour Card Overview touts their operating cost advantages. For example, for comparison Bombardier Skyjet offers a 25 hour card for a light jet with costs starting at $94,000. While there may be additional costs hidden in there as well, if you’re looking to step up to private air travel, without taking the full step to fractional ownership, this might be a good way to test the waters. I would just encourage you to fully evaluate all of the options out there before making a decision on this one.
